Aalim Bellydance Academy, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dance school serving the greater Oklahoma City area. Aalim offers bellydance (Middle Eastern, North African, Arabic, Greek, Turkish dance styles) classes to adults of any age and ability, and also has children’s classes. Mission Statement: To promote public awareness of the history and culture of the Arabic-speaking world, the richness of its music and the beauty of its dances, through lecture/demonstrations, performance programs and structured teaching programs; to entertain the general public by presenting professional dance concerts and dance programs with trained and accomplished dancers, traditional music and authentic costuming; to encourage positive interaction, through dance, with local communities in celebration of music, movement and design.

City of Edmond Parks and Recreation

The City of Edmond's Parks and Recreation Department and City overview statement from the Edmond Plan IV states, “A community’s quality of life is determined by many cultural and natural dynamics. One of these dynamics is parks. Parks, greenways and open space create a network of social, recreational and educational activities throughout a community.” Over the last ten years Edmond has grown from a 68,315 populated community to 81,405. The city has grown by over 13,000 individuals, almost a 20% increase in just under a decade. Even though the City has grown significantly and can no longer be considered a small town, there are still qualities of “small town life” present throughout the community. If the City continues to grow in population and economic strength over the next 10-20 years, park facilities will need to be addressed by adding to the number of parks and the types of amenities to meet the needs and demands of the citizens of Edmond.

City of Moore Parks and Recreation

The City of Moore Parks & Recreation Department works to provide quality recreational opportunities for all residents of Moore. The Department strives to provide safe and attractive areas for recreational purposes, and to coordinate efforts to maximize the use of existing parks. The City offers a variety of parks and recreational facilities, including The Station at Central Park (Recreation Center and Aquatic Center), a Senior Citizens Center, sports parks, dog park, playgrounds and neighborhood parks. Dance Phase Studio

Since opening in 1997, over 2,000 students have taken dance classes in our state of the art facility. We are dedicated to providing convenient, top quality instruction to our students. We provide classes for those dancers that want to take a few classes, make new friends and get some exercise to those that want to dance on a competitive level or who are aspiring to dance professionally. At Dance Phase we use a core curriculum that is used at universities across the country. This curriculum is integrated into our tap, jazz, and ballet programs. Dance Phase houses approximately 6,000 square feet of the newest state of the art equipment available. There are four dance studios with over 1,100 square feet of dancing space each. With safety in mind we chose the “Stagestep” flooring system. The sub floor is layered to create a “true” floating dance floor. This flooring system serves as the shock absorber not the body.

Metro Aerial

Aerial silks provides a masterful blend of strength and grace. Aerial is a versatile art of aerial acrobatics that includes climbs, wraps, descents, and drops on fabric. Beginners will learn the basic wraps and climbs low to the ground and then work their way up as they get more comfortable in the air. As the students progress, they will explore more challenging and daring feats on the fabric, such as the jaw-dropping drops and descents. Aerial Lyra classes experience the movement on and around the Aerial Hoop. This class teaches motion through the Lyra and familiarizes the student with poses and series in the hoop. It includes aerial strength training and flexibility for aerialists. While both are intensive workouts, each provides a fun and challenging way to build strength and increase flexibility. We provide technical training and conditioning for all levels, focusing on the individual student's needs in each lesson.

Paseo Arts District

The Paseo is home to more than 20 galleries and over 80 vibrant artists all within walking distance of each other on the curved, two-block street that has maintained it’s Spanish revival architecture with its original stucco buildings and clay roof tiles. Santa Fe Family Life Center

ABOUT THE SANTA FE FAMILY LIFE CENTER "The mission of the Santa Fe Family Life Center is to improve the health of Oklahomans by providing sports and fitness programs for all abilities." The SFFLC does this in three ways: providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities and disadvantaged youth to participate in sports and fitness activities, fitness opportunities/memberships, and youth sports programming. This past year, the SFFLC donated over 1,500 hours of facility usage time to the local community, operated adaptive sports programming, provided health and fitness opportunities for underprivileged youth, and served over 9,000 kids in youth sports leagues. The SFFLC also partners with over 25 local nonprofits to assist their efforts in carrying out their respective missions. In order to further live out its mission, the SFFLC has embraced the role of providing year-round adaptive sports programming. Adaptive sports are competitive sports for individuals with disabilities. The SFFLC is now the first facility in Central and Western Oklahoma to offer year-round multi-sport adaptive sports programming! Conveniently located along Broadway Extension in Oklahoma City, the SFFLC offers a variety of sports from basketball to pickleball, health and wellness programs for members, charitable programs, and sports leagues. The Santa Fe Family Life Center ("SFFLC") began in 2007, expanding the healthy activities available at the facility and opening the doors to charitable organizations in the community. Prior to 2007, the SFFLC was a private tennis club, known as the Santa Fe Fitness & Racquet Club. Upon receiving the facility in 2007, the Knights of Columbus recognized the lack of a community recreation center serving individuals with disabilities in Oklahoma City, and set course to address this issue. In order to better serve the community, the Santa Fe Family Life Center added a swimming pool, and expanded the fitness and basketball programs. In addition to fitness and racquet membership opportunities, the SFFLC focuses on offering and promoting programs designed to empower disadvantaged youth and people with disabilities to achieve improved fitness and well-being. Membership at the SFFLC supports both the individual and our programs: we are the facility for ability! The SFFLC believes that finances should never be a barrier to healthy activities, and a scholarship program assists families unable to afford access to sports leagues or exercise facilities. Our vision is to become Oklahoma's leader in providing healthy activities for all people. Spirit of 76 Square Dance Club

Founded in 1975 with our current fantastic caller: Jeff Holley! We dance every 2nd & 4th Sunday from 6-8pm, at the OKC Swing Club: 4361 NW 50th St. #400, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
