The Chill Your Cheeks 5K, presented by Academy Sports and Outdoors, sprints back into town on Saturday, November 20. Held annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving, Chill Your Cheeks 5K coincides with the opening of Christmas in the Park, Oklahoma’s largest drive-thru light display right here in Yukon. The race course starts and finishes in Chisholm Trail Park. Close to 400 runners from all over the state, as well as surrounding states, descend upon Yukon for this great holiday run.

Online registration is available through November 19th. In person registration is available at the Jackie Cooper Gym, 1024 E. Main St or Yukon Community Center, 2200 S. Holly Ave. Early Bird Registration for the Chill Your Cheeks 5k is $25.00 for adults and $20.00 for youth through October 29th. Registration fee includes a long sleeve “Chill” t-shirt. Regular pricing begins after October 29th with $30 for Adults and $25 for Youth. Must Register by November 5th to be guaranteed a shirt. Race day registration is $40 Adult and $35 Youth. Same day registration will begin at 3pm and All runners must be registered and at the starting line by 4:30pm.

The Mascot Dash will get things kicked off at 4:30 p.m. This has become a crowd favorite and is always fun to watch. Mascots will compete in a 100 yard dash.
The 5K begins at 5:00 p.m. The course closes at 6:00 p.m. to open to drive-thru traffic. Runners must be able to finish the 5K in that time frame. In addition to the 5k race, the free Jingle Walk begins at 5:30 p.m. The Jingle Walk is a leisure stroll through the lights of Chisholm Trail Park. All walk participants receive a free jingle bell bracelet to wear. Pets and strollers are welcome in the Jingle Walk. Pets are not allowed in the 5K. Sport strollers are allowed in the 5K.
