On the longest night of the year, Factory Obscura and Oklahoma Contemporary invite you to let go of the past and set intentions for the future at the March of the Trees Winter Solstice Celebration!
Illuminate the dark night with light and costume in Factory Obscura's March of the Trees! Participants are invited to dress as trees - holiday trees, butterfly trees, forest trees, trees of life, any tree you choose.
The festivities begin at 5:30 PM outdoors at Oklahoma Contemporary’s Studio School (11 NW 11th Street, OKC, OK 73102) with activities and refreshments. Walk the labyrinth and set your intention for the season ahead. Last minute light and costume additions will also be available!
The March of The Trees will set off promptly at 6:30 to march our way through Automobile Alley, spreading the light and will end the evening with live music and community at Factory Obscura’s MIX-TAPE (25 NW 9th Street, OKC, OK 73102).
Inspyral Circus will provide entertainment during the event.
Benjamin Rosfeld will provide theremin soundscapes on the sidewalk.
The Mix-Tape experience will be open late, where you can enjoy live music by Rauland. DOORWAYS will also be open late!
Set intentions for new things in your life, and watch those you wish to let go turn to ash.
