Wildcrafting Walk

Wildcrafting is the art and skill of gathering from the wild and using that material for food, medicine, natural dyes, tools, art, etc. Wildcrafting is very much a primal instinct, but it requires an intimate relationship with the earth and the seasons and the diversity of the natural world in the area where you live as well as an intellectual knowledge of the various plants. In this class, we will learn about wildcrafting basics, safety, and ethics and learn about some of the more common things to forage for and wildcraft with in Central Oklahoma including the various uses of each, and how to correctly identify them. Amanda will also share a few of her favorite wildcrafting recipes as well treat us to her special dandelion honeycakes!

Amanda Reich is a local artist, nature photographer, herbalist, and traditional incense crafter. Whether through her art and photography, or through her teachings on the natural world around us, her vision leads her to find ways to re-connect humans back to the wild and to the deep medicine that the earth so abundantly provides.

All participants will be required to wear mask for the duration of workshop. Anyone not wearing a mask may be asked to leave.
