Join us for a patriotic Independence Day celebration! Bring blankets and lawn chairs and set up a spot for the evening!
-Enjoy live music by @[809456512449291:274:Hunter Thomas] and Dr. Irv Wagner’s Concert band!
-Bring your own picnic basket or enjoy eats from @[1933553653533782:274:Evelyn faye’s mobile kitchen], @[334180900038298:274:Okie Old Time Rootbeer] and @[1768466766503449:274:Lolli & Pops Funnel Cakes].
-We will honor our Midwest City graduates at 7:30 p.m. A registration table will be next to the stage for graduates to pick-up a T-shirt!
-The winner of our online Patriotic Pups contest will be announced. (Contest details below.)
– Fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:45 p.m.
– All attendees are encouraged to wear a mask and practice proper social distancing per CDC Guidelines.

❗PATRIOTIC PUPS CONTEST❗ Midwest City residents, ENTER your furry friend in the Patriotic Pups Contest through July 3! 🐕 🇺🇸 Dress up your pet in patriotic collars, costumes, headbands, bandanas and accessories and post your photo with #LiveMWC for a chance to win! Winners will be announced at Tribute to Liberty on July 4! PLEASE READ CONTEST DETAILS AND GUIDELINES BELOW PRIOR TO ENTERING! ⬇️

CONTEST DETAILS & RULES:
-Photos must meet the following criteria to qualify as an entry:
-Privacy settings must be such that we are able to see and search for your post.
-Post your photo entry to the OFFICIAL CONTEST POST on the Midwest City Parks & Recreation Facebook page and use #LiveMWC in the comment text, or by tagging the Instagram page @mwcparksrec and use #LiveMWC in the text with privacy settings set to public.
-Each photo will count as an individual entry; no vote stacking between posts, pages, or Facebook and Instagram. Only submit your photo entry on one channel please.
-Entries will be accepted June 28-July 3, 2020 and winners announced on July 4 at Tribute to Liberty.
-Contest limited to Midwest City Residents only, please.

PRIZES:
-Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place based on photos with the most votes as well as a Mayor’s Choice based on personal preference. Prizes are gift cards to local pet stores and groomers!
-A vote is considered to be a Like, Love or Wow reaction to your post.
-Voting will begin as soon as a photo is posted and continue through 11:59 p.m. July 3.
-In the event of a tie for any place, Asst. City Manager Vaughn Sullivan will decide winner.
