Our little dancers class enables children to explore movement (space, time, and energy); early educational development (colors, shapes, numbers, patterns, writing, listening, problem-solving, and art appreciation); cognitive development; physical development (fine and gross motor skills); and social skills. This class is designed for parents and children who love to dance from the inside out. Bridges the gap between Baby Ballet and Princess Ballet. Dance, dress up, and pre-ballet training are featured.

We know that dance is for everyone so we are proud to offer Adult lessons as well, for those who missed out on their ballerina dreams or individuals looking to return or keep up with their training.

Our meticulously developed curriculum has been designed to work by establishing strong foundations in each level that can be built upon each subsequent year.

We believe that hard work and consistency are key and operate on a yearly enrollment basis to ensure we are able to give back the most to our students through weekly classes that promote lasting mastery of each level’s expectations.

Our Success
With the success of more than 5,000 students, the Conservatory Ballet Foundation, produces more professional ballerinas than any other pre-professional dance academy in the greater Washington, D.C., area. The Conservatory Ballet Foundation students have performed with premiere dance companies around the world, including American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, English National Ballet, Fort Worth Ballet, Miami City Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, Pacific Northwest Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Mariinsky Ballet, Igor Moiseyev Ballet, and Bolshoi Ballet. Recent graduates are studying at the Vaganova Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia, and will be apprenticing with the Stuttgart Ballet in Germany.

Students of The Conservatory Ballet Foundation are distinguished by their elegance, real-world experience, and earnestness. They are consistently selected first in open auditions at summer programs of major global companies, including American Ballet Theatre, Bolshoi Ballet, Boston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, the Kirov Academy, Pennsylvania Ballet, and North Carolina School of the Arts.

The personal confidence, character, and discipline students receive from The Conservatory Ballet Foundation also prepares them for undergraduate and graduate programs in dance, as well as fields other than dance, including medicine, business, and communications, in which our students have successfully proven themselves. The exposure to dance from a 360-degree perspective–as sport, art, tradition, and theory–produces a profound understanding and appreciation of the arts that lasts a lifetime.

Because of The Conservatory Ballet Foundation’s proven curriculum–practical, theoretical, and experience–students sustain fewer injuries than other dance academies in the greater Washington, D.C., area. Of particular note, The Conservatory Ballet Foundation has helped hundreds of students overcome physical and learning disabilities as well as language barriers, affording the experience of a normal, healthy, and happy life.
