Dance Passport - USA & Canada - Fancy War Dance

Travel the world without having to leave Oklahoma City with Dance Passport! Dance Passport offers free cultural dance classes in Oklahoma City from June to October 2023. Each week will be a different cultural dance style. No previous dance experience necessary. Every class is open to all levels, all ages, and all bodies!

The Fancy War Dance is how we pay respect to our past and present Warriors. It signifies a successful war expedition or a bountiful hunting accomplishment. The fast and rigorous motion depicts a story told by the dancer. Class will be held September 23 at Will Rogers Park, 3400 N. Portland, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.  NOTE: If the high for the day is 95 degrees or above, classes will be held at Aalim Dance Academy, 2520 N. Meridian, Oklahoma City, OK 73107.
