Bike to Work Week

Bike to Work Week is an annual event designed to encourage people to use their bikes as a means of transportation.

Bicycling for transportation can improve your health and benefits our environment. Bike to Work Week is a chance to try bicycling to work, or just around your community!

The cities of Edmond, Guthrie, Norman, The Village, and Yukon are hosting organized rides. For route maps and more information, visit http://www.acogok.org/transportation-planning/bicycle-and-pedestrian/bikecentral/.

If you don't feel comfortable riding in a group, or your community isn't hosting a group ride, you can still participate by taking a picture on your ride to work and post it using the hashtag #BikeCentralOK.

ACOG's Bike to Work Week is September 21-27, with Bike to Work Day, coinciding with Car Free Day, on Tuesday Sept. 22. ACOG plans to observe Bike to Work Day on Friday, September 25.

Bike to Work Day is an annual event designed to encourage people to use their bikes as a means of transportation. According to the League of American Bicyclists, 40% of all trips in the U.S. are less than two miles, making bicycling a feasible and fun way to get to work.
