Inclusive Yoga: A Practice for Individuals with a Spinal Cord Injury

Presented by National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD) at Online/Virtual Space

Yoga brings together the physical and mental to create a peaceful, relaxed body and mind. It helps to manage stress and anxiety while increasing flexibility, strength and range of motion. Practicing yoga might seem like just stretching, but it can do much more for your body from the way you feel to how you look and move. Beginning with Inclusive Yoga: A Practice for Individuals with a Spinal Cord Injury, we’re changing the rules on what is possible when it comes to time on your mat. This video is a first-of-its-kind yoga practice that will be the first in a series of inclusive yoga videos we plan to provide for individuals with a disability. So grab a mat, take a deep breath and join us as we show you how yoga is for you!
