From James Naismith's invention of basketball at the Y in 1891 to today, the Y has a rich tradition in sports played around the globe. We nurture the potential of youth through sports programming by strengthening character, engaging families, and building lasting relationships. We are pleased to partner with the Oklahoma City Thunder to further our mission within our youth basketball league, now called the YMCA Thunder Basketball League.

Practices and Games:
•    Practices will begin the week of November 16
•    Games will begin the weekend of December 2. Games will be predominatly on Saturdays. If we have make-up games, they may be scheduled for a weeknight.

*Games played at the Stillwater or Chickasha YMCA's have a later season start date.

•    The season is an 8-game regular season, with a double elimination end of season tournament. We will guarantee at least one make up game due to weather cancellations but will do our very best to ensure each team has any missed games due to weather made up.

Uniforms:
•    Each participant is required to wear the Blue and Grey YMCA Thunder Basketball Jersey. These can be purchased online or at your local YMCA.
