The Y’s Youth Developmental Swim League is an introduction to proper swim technique in an “everybody swim, everybody wins” atmosphere. Our league focuses on fun and fitness while teaching your swimmer all the rules and techniques for swimming.
Requirements for our swim league, ages 6-15
Swimmer must swim a minimum of 50 yards using Front Crawl and Backstroke then have a knowledge of and ability to try 50 yards of Butterfly and Breastroke. Strokes do not have to be perfect.
Practices are Monday and Wednesday from 5:00pm-6:00pm at the North Side YMCA pool.
Required at Practice & Meets
Goggles, towel, warm clothes, swim cap or hair ties, swim suit (one piece is encouraged for girls), water in a non-glass container is allowed our pool deck.
