Join Nicci at the Piedmont Public Library for free group fitness classes sponsored by the library’s Piedmont Health Literacy program.
The Piedmont Public Library's Health Literacy program invites you to participate in the free workouts at the library (outdoors, socially distanced). To participate virtually, contact info@piedmontlibrary.org for the Zoom link. Nicci is an ACE-certified personal trainer and weight management specialist; a licensed Zumba ®, Zumba Gold ®, Zumba Kids/Kids Jr. ® instructor; and a licensed MixxedFit ® instructor.
Every Friday at 5:00 p.m. will be Zumba Gold ®, a modified version of Zumba Fitness ® that is perfect for beginners, active older adults, and anyone looking for a lower-intensity workout. The Tuesday evening classes and Saturday morning classes will rotate through the following workouts: Zumba ®, MixxedFit ®, Fight Club (choreographed cardio kickboxing), and Barresque (dance- and barre-inspired toning). Contact the library for the detailed calendar.
You do NOT need to live in Piedmont to participate!
You can join the optional challenge group as well. Scorecards and schedules are available for pickup at the Piedmont Public Library, and are also available for printing through the challenge group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/piedmontokhealthchallenge
People can also stay updated on the Piedmont Health Literacy page: https://www.facebook.com/PiedmontOKHealth and can participate in the free workouts regardless of whether or not they participate in the challenge.
This project is brought to you by the Piedmont Public Library's Piedmont Health Literacy grant, which is made possible by Federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
